RMIT INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2024
For the RMIT University 2024 International Women's Day (IWD) event, I was asked to create a fresh visual brand that celebrates women's economic empowerment.
To stay connected to IWD branding from UN Women Australia, the brief required me to incorporate the signature purple colour, as well as the 2024 tagline "Count her in: Invest in women, accelerate progress". I was encouraged to experiment with colour, rather than stick to the formal brand colour palette.

To represent the layered lives of working women, I took a collage / scrapbook approach. The design showcases female students, teachers and industry professionals, mixed with greyscale visuals that represent their life, work and connection to the economy. The beige paper-textured background adds a grittiness, and tones down the purple colour and bubble decoration, to avoid an overly 'girly' approach. Fun but powerful was the goal.
SLIDE DECK DESIGN
The slide deck for the event used the collage design style to house photographs and add visual interest.
ANIMATED DIGITAL SCREENS
For the event foyer, I worked with video staff to create moving portraits of real women who work and study at RMIT. The greyscale graphics were individual to each woman's field of work / study, and a unique quote was included from each of them.
An animation of the main artwork for the event, played on digital screens in the foyer.
